The Porch Dogs came to life in 2021 as an idea of the late Tim Williams. Tim and fellow band members were pushing around the notion of getting out of the Saturday jam grind, while aiming for festival stages. Tim told us he had this thing in his head about a band he called The Porch Dogs.
That was the moment the band identity was formalized. Sometimes the porch dog can be petted gently; other times that same dog will snap your hand off.
That is the sound of The Porch Dogs: gentle and mean Blues, rollicking Americana, and Roots music filled with humour, self-deprecation and pulsating rhythms.
